Jesús Guanche Pérez from Cuba is a tenured academician with extraordinary contributions at the Cuban Academy of Sciences (Academia de Ciencias de Cuba), Foreign Vice President of Hebei International Studies University, and Foreign Director of Hebei Global Academy of International Economy, Culture and Society.
In 2018, Pérez was invited by Hebei International Studies University in need of high-level professionals. His major research field is the studies of the Belt and Road Initiative after his arrival in China. Pérez has also made fruitful achievements in education reform, academic research and other fields. He later received the "Yanzhao Friendship Award" from the People's Government of Hebei Province.
Pérez commented that, "China focuses on its own development and its cooperation with the international community. After nearly ten years of efforts, the Belt and Road Initiative has gained ground. China has established cultural connections with the rest of the world. I believe that the country is sure to create a more promising and long-anticipated future under the guidance of the win-win philosophy."
