Located in the northeastern corner of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, Kekexili is China's largest national nature reserve; it is also at the highest altitude and has the richest wildlife resources. It is known as the "world's third pole" and the gene pool of rare wild animals on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The unique geographical and climatic conditions have bred a range of diverse organisms, and it is an important habitat for a large number of plateau animals and plants.
