Mount Tai is a famous mountain with the longest history of tourism in China. Along the 10-kilometer-long climbing path, there are flagpoles every other kilometer, and memorial archway gates every few kilometers, making for a majestic ascent up the mountain. For nearly two thousand years, the solemn and sacred Mount Tai has been the object of worship by emperors. Mount Tai has long been a spiritual source for Chinese artists and scholars, and a symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and beliefs.
