Huangshan Mountain is a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, a Global Geopark, and a world biosphere reserve. It is also one of China's National Scenic Spots, a National Civilized Scenery Tourist Area, and an AAAAA Tourist Attractions. It has been called a “wonderland on earth,” and the “first wonderful mountain under heaven,” and is famous for its “five unique sceneries” including strange pines, jagged stones, sea of clouds, hot springs, and winter snow.
