Many foreigners will choose to purchase medical insurance, and sometimes employers will provide medical insurance as part of employee benefits. You can choose local or foreign insurance companies to purchase medical insurance. Please note that some Chinese public hospitals do not recognize medical insurance from foreign insurance companies. When signing a contract with an insurance company, you need to confirm the insured hospital, disease categories covered, and other matters. When seeing a doctor, please remember to obtain a formal receipt so that you can later get reimbursed from the insurance company.
