In China, there is a limit on duration for land-use rights ranging from 40 to 70 years: a maximum of 40 years for the use of commerce, tourism, and entertainment, and 70 years for residential use. The “Civil Code of the People's Republic of China” that came into effect on January 1, 2020 clearly stipulates in Article 359 that “when the land-use rights for residential use expire, they will be automatically renewed.”You can entrust a local real estate agency to assist you in house hunting, price negotiation, contract signing, transaction transfers, and other procedures.
