In order to facilitate transit of international travelers and promote the development of international aviation hubs, border inspection exemption policy for 24-hour transit international travelers are approved by the Ministry of Public Security, and piloted at Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. That means no border inspection procedures are required for passengers transiting through any of the above airports within 24 hours and staying within the limited areas of port of entry at the airport.
