The immigration inspection authorities across China facilitated a total of 16.34 million exits and entries made by Chinese and foreign nationals during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays (October 1 to 8) in 2025, with a daily average of 2.043 million, reflecting an 11.5-percent growth compared with the same period in 2024. The highest exit-entry traveler volume was witnessed on October 4, reaching 2.353 million. Notably, Chinese mainland residents made 9.165 million inbound and outbound trips, reflecting a 9.6-percent increase year on year. The residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan made a total of 5.744 million exit-entry trips, increasing by 12.2 percent compared with the same period last year. The number of the exit-entry trips by foreign nationals reached 1.434 million, marking a 21.6-percent increase over the previous year's data. The number of inbound trips made by foreign nationals increased by 19.8 percent year on year to 751,000, among which 535,000 were eligible for China's visa-free policies, up 46.8 percent year on year. Additionally, the immigration management authorities in China inspected a total of 744,000 entries and exits of transport vehicles (planes, trains, ships, and motor vehicles), indicating a year-on-year increase of 11 percent.

Following the unified arrangement of the National Immigration Administration (NIA), the immigration inspection authorities in China rigorously implemented the "Two Announcements and One Reminder" policy. Specifically, the immigration inspection authorities made predictions of traffic flows at their respective ports, based on scientific grounds, and released the relevant information promptly to help exit-entry travelers better make their travel plans and avoid peak hours to prevent congestion. In addition, the immigration inspection authorities deployed enough police officers and other staff workers, opened sufficient inspection channels, and strictly implemented the policy that the queuing time for each Chinese citizen should not exceed 30 minutes. Furthermore, the immigration inspection authorities enhanced cooperation with other relevant authorities to make careful arrangements for exit-entry passenger flow management during peak hours, take comprehensive measures for transportation, and adeptly deal with the challenges caused by extreme weather conditions, ensuring smooth exits and entries of tourists. The ports around China ensured safe, efficient and smooth exit-entry services during this year's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays.
