At a press conference held by a spokesperson of the National Immigration Administration (NIA) on October 18, it was revealed that foreigners made a total of 8.186 million entries into China through various ports in the third quarter this year, marking an increase of 48.8% year-on-year, among which 4.885 million entries were made visa-free, representing a year-on-year rise of 78.6%. NIA plans to continuously optimize and enhance its visa-free transit policies and other relevant policies, with a focus on expanding areas for entry and travel, increasing the number of regions collaboratively implementing the relevant policies, and improving the overall framework for openness. It aims to further enhance the value and attractiveness of the relevant policies and work collaboratively with the relevant authorities to offer more convenience for foreigners who need to travel to and within China.
