Beijing Municipality held a news conference on COVID-19 prevention and control on the afternoon of March 15. Chen Bei, deputy secretary-general of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, said that from zero o'clock, March 16, all travelers entering Beijing from overseas shall be transferred to designated observation places for a 14-day quarantine. The designated sites will be equipped with health care professionals and other workers to regularly carry out health monitoring and promptly solve problems, so as to make returnees from overseas safer and their families more reassured. People with special conditions may be quarantined at home after strict assessment. All aforementioned travelers should undergo the quarantine at their own expense.

 

Those reporting false information or concealing conditions and causing further spread of the epidemic will be held accountable in accordance with laws and regulations and the results will be included into the social credit system.
