Dragon Boat Festival Holiday Sees 5.907 Million Exits and Entries

During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday (May 31 to June 2), the border inspection authorities across China facilitated a total of 5.907 million exit-entry trips made by Chinese and foreign nationals, marking a 2.7% increase compared with the same period last year, with a daily average of 1.969 million trips. The single-day peak was recorded on June 1 with 2.086 million trips. Regarding the inbound trips made by foreign nationals, 231,000 were made under visa-free policies, surging by 59.4% compared with the same period last year. A total of 263,000 exits and entries by transportation vehicles (including planes, ships, trains and motor vehicles) were inspected, indicating a 10.5% year-on-year rise.
