Recently, China's National Immigration Administration (NIA) has strengthened practical cooperation with the immigration enforcement authority of Thailand to jointly combat cross-border illegal activities such as illegal immigration. Guided by the principles of mutual respect and equal consultation, the two sides have enhanced law enforcement collaboration and achieved positive results in areas such as information sharing and the repatriation of individuals who crossed borders illegally.

The Chinese government firmly opposes all forms of illegal migration. Under China's relevant laws, illegally crossing borders/boundaries, organizing illegal migration, and transporting individuals to illegally cross borders/boundaries all constitute criminal offenses. Public security authorities and immigration administration authorities will continue lawfully cracking down on crimes that disrupt border/boundary management, and holding the planners and organizers of such activities legally accountable. Simultaneously, China actively engages in global cooperation in combating illegal migration, strengthens international law enforcement cooperation, and works with relevant countries to address challenges posed by cross-border crimes such as those related to illegal migration. These efforts aim to safeguard the safe and orderly cross-border movement of Chinese and foreign nationals in accordance with the laws and protect the legitimate rights and interests of individuals entering or exiting the country. NIA advises all individuals to take legal channels for entries and exits to avoid personal safety risks and property losses.
