According to the prediction of the National Immigration Administration (NIA), China's ports will witness a significant surge in inbound and outbound travelers during this Spring Festival holiday, with the daily average of exit-entry travelers projected to peak at 1.8 million, reflecting an increase by roughly 3.3 times year on year and returning to the level of 2019. The highest volumes of passengers at major international airports are projected to be seen mainly from February 8 to 11, as well as from February 16 to 17. The estimated daily average of exit-entry travelers in five significant airports, namely Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, will hit 83,000, 39,000, 36,000, 16,000, and 16,000 respectively. The highest volumes of travelers at land ports near Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR are anticipated to be witnessed mainly from February 11 to 15. The estimated daily average of the exit-entry travelers at Gongbei Port of Zhuhai, Qingmao Port, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Hengqin Port will reach 305,000, 99,000, 78,000, and 65,000 respectively. Additionally, Shenzhen's Luohu and Futian ports, Hong Kong West Kowloon Station on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, and Shenzhen Bay Port are expected to handle daily 198,000, 157,000, 104,000, and 100,000 travelers respectively. It is noteworthy that Adora Magic City, a large cruise ship built in China, is scheduled to embark on its journey from and travel back to Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal in Shanghai on February 14. A total of 8,000 passengers will take this cruise ship to enter and leave China.

To ensure efficient and smooth customs services at ports during the Spring Festival holiday, NIA has taken special measures. All border inspection authorities across China are ordered to intensify the monitoring of exit-entry traveler volumes and port operations and promptly provide details on port exit-entry traveler volumes to assist the general public's travel planning. The border inspection authorities are also required to optimize the arrangement of their services and deploy sufficient police officers to ensure that the time each Chinese citizen spends queuing for entry or exit will be within 30 minutes. Moreover, the border inspection authorities are ordered to enhance coordination and cooperation with joint inspection authorities at ports and relevant local authorities to make reliable and specific arrangements for the management of passenger flow during peak hours, delayed customs clearance, and traffic support. These joint efforts will ensure safe, efficient, and smooth customs services.

NIA hereby highlights the necessity for both inbound and outbound travelers from China and other countries and regions to stay updated about the fluctuations in traveler volumes and changes in customs procedures at ports ahead of their trips. It is advised that travelers verify the validity of their visas and other exit-entry documents carefully. Chinese citizens shall acquaint themselves with the safety and security situation and entry rules of their destinations, make proper travel plans, raise awareness of risk prevention, and prioritize personal and property safety. In case of any difficulties encountered during customs procedures, travelers can contact NIA via the China Immigration Service Hotline at +86-12367 or request support from on-duty immigration administration police officers.
