National Immigration Administration of China (NIA) officially launches China Immigration Service Hotline and English version website on April 8, in a bid to further improve immigration management through "streamlining administration, delegating power and improving government services", and facilitate the access to useful information and convenient government services by Chinese citizens and foreign nationals.
China Immigration Service Hotline Logo
China Immigration Service Hotline is built as a comprehensive service platform for the national immigration management system to accept immigration-related business consultation, opinions and suggestions, and functions as an integrated "customer service center" of China's immigration management to serve the whole country and connect the world.
In view of current inconveniences caused by confusing, diverse and frequently occupied immigration service hotlines, 12367 Service Hotline makes full use of the Internet cloud deployment and artificial intelligence technology to fully connect the existing hotline seats of the national border inspection authorities and the local public security exit-entry administration departments. The centralized hotline supports categorized responses to service requests from Chinese and foreigners, such as policy consultation, opinions and suggestions. China Immigration Service Hotline now provides 24/7 service in both Chinese and English.
At the same time, in accordance with the guiding opinions on further optimizing the local government service hotline issued by the General Office of the State Council, NIA has divided the 12367 Service Hotline into sub-centers which has been incorporated with the 12345 hotlines in the places where the national border inspection authorities and local public security exit-entry administration departments are located. NIA also takes further steps to strengthen the interconnectivity and information sharing of the two systems, and accept and handle relevant issues and requests handed over from the 12345 hotlines. The ultimate goal is to provide high-quality, more convenient and meticulous immigration management services to the public and further enhance the people's sense of gains, happiness and security.
Based on its due responsibilities, NIA has developed an English version website to provide an integrated, multi-functional and international online comprehensive service platform. The website prioritizes the experience of users and adopts international blue as the main color. While offering thematic sections such as information release, service, consultation and exchange, immigration service, etc., the website is committed to releasing authoritative information on China's immigration management, and delivering multiple services and functions to foreigners in China and coming to China as well as relevant market entities in a timely manner, such as list-based information guidance, user-friendly online service and instant interactive communication.
The website has both web and mobile editions available for the convenient use of the public anytime and anywhere. The English version, after being launched, and the existing Chinese version of NIA's website will be complemented by each other to serve as an important window to showcase the elegant demeanor of China's immigration management force and help the world learn more about the immigration management of China.
The construction and operation of the 12367 Service Hotline and the English website by NIA is an important measure to conscientiously implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee, help building a new development pattern, and accelerate the construction of an immigration management service system compatible with China's overall opening up and economic and social development.
The efforts will further improve the immigration management of China regarding its internationalization, standardization and modernization level, while catering to the needs of exit-entry Chinese and foreign travelers and the public for convenience in a timely manner.
Next, NIA will focus on supporting major national development strategy, continuously improve immigration management services, properly respond to new needs and expectations of exit-entry Chinese and foreign travelers and the public at large, and fully serve the economic and social development of the country.
